New Taipei City Education Bureau Issues 'Reduction in Enrollment' as Punishment for Frequent School Bus Accidents at Kang Chiao International School

Following two recent student school bus accidents, Kang Chiao International School faced an investigation and disciplinary actions from the Education Bureau due to poor management. As a result, the bureau approved a reduction of 1 class in the enrollment of Kang Chiao High School Junior High School Section for the 114th academic year. The school bus accidents, occurring on March 11th and May 21st this year, left approximately 20 and 3 students lightly injured, prompting the bureau to take action to improve traffic safety for students. The school was also fined for failure to report leasing contracts as required. Moving forward, the Education Bureau plans to strengthen traffic management mechanisms in all school campuses to prevent future accidents.
