New Taipei City Reveals List of Illegal Employers, Unite Transportation Company Fined 850,000 NTD for Violating Same Provision 9 Times

The New Taipei City Government's Department of Labor announced the third wave of employers violating labor standards, occupational safety and health laws, gender equality laws, and labor retirement pension regulations this year, with 334 businesses being fined a total of 19.52 million NTD. The list of violators has been included in the 'Illegal Employer Inquiry' section of the 'New Taipei Labor Cloud.' Notably, Unite Transportation Company was fined 850,000 NTD for repeatedly violating the same provision concerning overtime work, marking the ninth offense, with over 1,500 employees affected. Other well-known companies like Chyau Fwu Precision Industry and New Rising Sun Corporation were also penalized for overtime violations. The penalties for employers who fail to comply with regulations have increased, urging them to adhere to legal requirements to avoid hefty fines.
