A 67-year-old man surnamed Chen in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, drove a large truck and inadvertently hooked onto an electric pole at a junction due to being unfamiliar with the road, causing the entire traffic light pole to break and fall over. Fortunately, no one else was affected. The police are still investigating the cause of the incident. Drivers of large vehicles are reminded to follow traffic regulations and not drive on prohibited roads to avoid fines of between NT$900 and NT$1,800.
