As of May 113, the public bike accident insurance enrollment rate for YouBike in New Taipei City has exceeded 70%, with the Transportation Bureau reminding individuals to enroll in the public bike accident insurance starting from July 1 in order to rent the YouBike 2.0E. Failure to complete the YouBike 2.0 accident insurance willingness survey by July 1 will result in the inability to rent the YouBike 2.0. The government covers the public bike accident insurance premium, and users need to register through the YouBike app to ensure free accident coverage and rental access post-July 1. Elderly citizens using the Elderly Love Card can also register for the insurance before renting the YouBike 2.0E. The public bike accident insurance offers a maximum coverage of 1 million yuan for accidents while riding, with hospitalization coverage up to 1,000 yuan per day.
