Chen Zhen-hao, former general affairs director at Jisui Elementary School in Zhonghe, New Taipei City, was charged with bribery and ordered by authorities to post bail of NT$200,000 on June 28, 2024. Chen had insulted a female teacher of an outsourced tutoring class using offensive language such as three-character classics and sexual terms, which led to the teacher reporting the incident to the police. Additionally, it was revealed that Chen had received bribes from a vendor to secure a construction project at the school back in 2019. Investigations are ongoing involving several individuals, with Chen and the vendor being required to post bail amounts while others involved in the case also had to provide guarantees. The New Taipei City Department of Education faced criticism for delay in addressing the situation until media reports surfaced.
