The New Taipei City elderly love card, expanding its usage range from July 1 to follow Taipei City, can now be used to take taxis. However, many people have complained that in order to take a taxi, they must first use an app or call for one, and when hailing one on the street, they must identify vehicles with the 'elderly sticker' to ride, which poses a challenge for the elderly. The New Taipei City Social Affairs Bureau stated that the various ways to call for taxis are the same as in other counties and cities, but the methods seem unfriendly to many seniors.
