Taiwanese legislator Huang Shanshan questioned the Minister of Finance in the Legislative Yuan's finance committee about the discovery of 1700 suspicious fictitious accounts in eight government-owned banks. The minister clarified that these accounts are high-risk accounts, not necessarily all fictitious, and banks are still investigating. Although there are currently no penalties specified for such cases, Huang Shanshan suggested that the Credit Bureau should add notations to flag these individuals for future loans, treating it as credit defects to deter dishonest practices. The Minister agreed to discuss this with the Financial Supervisory Commission.
