The New Taipei City government is expanding the use of the Elderly Love and Care Card, allocating over NT$150 million in additional subsidies starting from July 1 this year to allow for taking taxis and riding YouBike 2.0/2.0E. This expansion is expected to benefit over 920,000 disabled and elderly individuals. The initiative aims to provide more transportation options for the elderly and disabled, with measures including introducing a visible purple emblem for the 'New Taipei Elderly Love Taxi Fleet'. The design of the emblem combines the colors of the blue Elderly Love Card and the red Love and Care Card, making it easily recognizable for users.
