New Taipei Kings' PLG league star Lin Shuhao suddenly went to the hospital for treatment due to foot discomfort before the crucial fourth game of the championship series. Despite being on the sidelines cheering for the team during the game, rumors arose about his serious foot injury possibly ending his career. However, the Kings' team later clarified that Lin was just on the daily observation list and would continue treatment and training in hopes of making it to the next game. Lin's average stats in the first three championship games were impressive, but his absence in the fourth game, along with foreign player Manny Gao, did not deter the team as Adequate filled the gap with a career-high 28 points, helping the team secure a 3-1 series lead.
