The police, together with the victim, set up a meeting with the scammer, resulting in the immediate arrest of a 40-year-old man named Liu with a history of fraud. The police confiscated cash, fraudulent contracts, and mobile phones as evidence. The fraud scheme involved pretending to be friends on Facebook, gaining trust, and then scamming victims with fake cryptocurrency investments. The victim was alerted to the scam by the bank and collaborated with the police to apprehend the scammer within 3 hours, urging caution against dubious investment opportunities.
