The coral planted at Hermei Fishing Port in New Taipei is thriving, as seen with significant growth in height and strength this spring. To solve the dilemma of summer activities for children, the port will host eco-restoration and water experience events in July, allowing the public to plant coral seedlings, engage in marine education, and interact with underwater mermaids to raise awareness about marine conservation. The port is being developed as a marine restoration base by the New Taipei City Government, in collaboration with various organizations like the Taiwan Marine Environment Conservation Association.
