New Traffic Regulations: 8 Minor Violations Not Open for Public Report from June 30, 5 Still Reportable by Citizens

Reported 12 months ago

The Legislative Yuan passed a third reading amendment to the Road Traffic Management Penalty Ordinance in May, introducing 8 minor traffic violations with fines below NT$1200 that are not open to public reporting starting June 30. Despite this, 5 other minor violations will remain reportable, such as not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle or parking illegally in designated disability parking spaces. The new regulations aim to improve road safety and deter violations.
