The 'airdrop war' between North and South Korea recently concluded, but tensions rose again as a South Korean defector group floated 20 balloons containing anti-North Korea leaflets. In response, Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, denounced these groups as 'garbage' and promised Pyongyang will retaliate. The defector group, Fighters for a Free North Korea, sent the balloons with leaflets, USB drives, and $1 bills towards North Korea, sparking concerns about potential escalation between the two Koreas.
