New York Air National Guard receives first HH-60W for enhanced search and rescue capabilities

According to the report from the 'Stars and Stripes' on June 23, the 106th Rescue Wing of the New York Air National Guard has received its first HH-60W 'happy green giant 2' search and rescue helicopter for upgrading its mission efficiency. The new HH-60W features advanced avionics systems, armor upgrades, integrated countermeasure systems, weapons, and tactical data receivers, enhancing situational awareness and survivability for the aircraft and crew during combat search and rescue missions in high-risk environments.
