Starting on July 1, a new system for recording violations of YouBike regulations in Northern Taiwan and Taoyuan will be implemented, allowing the general public to record and report violations such as riding on unauthorized sidewalks and riding on walkways. Accumulating 7 points within a year will result in a 1-year suspension. The news quickly sparked discussions on PTT. Users who are reported for driving under the influence face a 2-year suspension. The public can report violations by recording videos or taking photos, leading to potential penalties if confirmed by YouBike. Once suspended, users will not be able to rent bikes nationwide.
