New Zealand Prime Minister: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to Visit New Zealand This Week Following Minister Wang Yi

Reported 10 months ago

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announced on June 10th that Chinese State Council Premier Li Keqiang will visit New Zealand this week, making him the second high-ranking Chinese official to visit after Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit in late March. Luxon expressed his anticipation for Li's visit as an important opportunity for exchanging views and cooperation between the two countries on key issues. Trade between New Zealand and China is thriving, nearing NZ$38 billion in the fiscal year ending March 2024, with Luxon confident that trade activities will continue to increase to support the government's goal of doubling export revenue within 10 years.
