On June 22, 2024, in Daliao, Kaohsiung, a customer ordered three servings of puff pastry soup, only to find out they were all burnt when she got home. The owner apologized and explained that it was a mistake made by a new part-time employee. Despite the offer to compensate the customer tenfold, the customer declined. Most people found it unacceptable for the bakery to serve burnt food, even with a sincere apology from the owner and a promise to improve training for new staff.
