A newborn baby in New Taipei, only 3 months old, was brought to the hospital for emergency treatment and was found to have suffered severe head injuries, leading to intracranial bleeding, brain swelling, and damage to the eyes, resulting in lifelong blindness. The baby's father, in his twenties, was reported to authorities for suspected child abuse. The father, who voluntarily left military training to care for his son due to his wife's postpartum depression, denied the accusations but was prosecuted for causing serious harm to a child. The case is currently under investigation.
