Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. has agreed to sell its Foxtel Group to DAZN Group Ltd. for A$3.4 billion ($2.1 billion), marking the resolution of Foxtel's uncertain future amid increased competition from streaming services like Netflix. Following the deal, News Corp. will retain a 6% stake in DAZN and receive cash repayment for outstanding loans, while Telstra will also sell its share. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the latter half of fiscal 2025.
