The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating more than 94,000 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles for a potential 'loss of motive power' issue, following complaints outside the scope of a previous recall. The NHTSA opened a recall query to assess the severity of the alleged defect and the effectiveness of the remedy provided in the earlier recall. Despite a calibration software update as a remedy, complaints of a loss of motor power continued to increase, with over 68 owner reports identified. Stellantis, the company that owns Jeep, is cooperating with the NHTSA as the investigation continues.
