Nigeria has signed a $1.2 billion agreement with the Chinese state-owned company CNCEC to revitalize a gas processing facility, aiming to boost its aluminum production capabilities. The deal is expected to reinvigorate the gas plant linked to the Aluminum Smelter Company of Nigeria. This investment comes amid Nigeria's ongoing economic challenges, including high inflation and currency depreciation, despite its status as a significant oil producer.
