Nikola's hydrogen fuel cell truck deliveries surge in Q2, beating expectations

Reported 12 months ago

Nikola reported an 80% surge in deliveries of its hydrogen fuel cell trucks in Q2, exceeding its own expectations and indicating strong demand for the vehicles as the company transitions away from battery-powered vehicles. The EV startup delivered 72 Class 8 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell trucks, surpassing its target of 50 to 60 trucks, with plans to deliver 300 to 350 units for the full year. This positive delivery trend reflects Nikola's progress with hydrogen fuel cell trucks after facing challenges in 2023. It has acquired new customers like Walmart Canada and aims to expand its fleet in the coming months.
