Ahead of its release, Japanese Nintendo fans were able to try the new Switch 2 at an event near Tokyo, though many are worried that tariffs, particularly from the U.S. trade policies, might increase the console's price. Despite these concerns, there seems to be strong demand for the device, as Nintendo received over 2.2 million lottery applications for pre-orders in Japan. The Switch 2 is set to sell at approximately $350 in Japan, with the U.S. price planned at $449.99.
