Nissan Motor intends to halt vehicle production at its Wuhan plant in China by March 31, 2026, according to sources familiar with the matter. This decision follows declining production levels at the facility, which has struggled against competition from Chinese automakers. Since its start in 2022, the plant has only produced about 10,000 vehicles annually, far below its 300,000 capacity, resulting in significant financial losses for the company.
