Nissan has announced it will cease production at its Civac plant in Mexico by March 2026 as part of a global restructuring effort. The automotive giant plans to transfer vehicle production to its Aguascalientes complex during the financial year, following similar decisions to reduce production at two sites in Japan. Despite this, Nissan's CEO stated that Mexico remains a crucial part of their strategy for achieving efficiency and competitiveness.
