Nissan and Honda have officially ended their merger talks, revealing key performance metrics. In 2024, Honda outsold Nissan with 3.8 million vehicles compared to 3.3 million. Honda reported an operating profit of 1.1 trillion yen versus Nissan's 64 billion. Honda's market cap stands at 7.5 trillion yen, significantly higher than Nissan's. Both automakers focus on North America as their primary market. Looking ahead, Honda aims for 40% of new car sales to be electric by 2030, while Nissan seeks to ensure that EVs and hybrids make up 60% of sales by the same year.
