Reported 12 months ago

Taoyuan City Police Department announced the installation of front-facing cameras at the temporary drop-off and pick-up areas at gates 1 and 8 of the Taoyuan High Speed Rail Station starting tomorrow to combat illegal parking. The new cameras aim to reduce blind spots and crackdown on offenders attempting to evade enforcement. With the success of the previous rear license plate cameras in reducing illegal parking rates by over 85%, this new initiative further boosts enforcement efficiency. Offenders may face fines ranging from NT$300 to NT$1200, emphasizing the importance of maintaining parking order.
