No More Increase in Electricity Prices This Year? Su Tseng-chang: Livelihood and Industry Will be Taken into Consideration

After the Legislative Yuan's Parliament's Exercise of Power Act went into effect on June 28, 2024, Premier Su Tseng-chang appeared for questioning at the Legislative Yuan for the first time. When asked by lawmaker Lai Shih-bao if he could promise not to raise electricity prices, Su mentioned that it would be subject to review by the Electricity Price Review Committee, but factors like prices, livelihood, and industrial needs would be considered. Su emphasized the importance of improving the quality of Taiwan Power Company together with the committee.
