Nomura has indicated that the U.S. Federal Reserve is unlikely to cut interest rates during its December meeting, marking it as the first major brokerage to do so following Donald Trump's election victory. The firm forecasts only two rate cuts of 25 basis points each in March and June 2025, maintaining its projection for the Fed's rate at 4.125% through the next year, amid ongoing inflation concerns and a robust economy.
