North Korea's Increasing Public Executions Shock Public

Reported about 1 year ago

A defector from North Korea, Jin Yul-hak, revealed witnessing over 10 public executions in the country, including a horrifying instance where 20 people were executed in Zainngun County last year. The executions usually involve the condemned being bound to wooden poles with their faces covered, then shot by police officers as a large crowd is forced to watch, leading to one female party official collapsing from shock and later dying from a heart attack. Public executions, an increasingly common method of terrorizing the populace under Kim Jong-un's regime, have been on the rise in North Korea since 2019.
