Tensions on the Korean Peninsula escalate as North Korea floated 'trash and feces bomb balloons' into South Korea three times since late May, with North Korean soldiers crossing the Military Demarcation Line on June 9 and 18, prompting South Korean forces to drive them away. In response, a North Korean defectors group, the 'Free North Korea Movement Coalition,' floated 20 large balloons on June 20 containing USBs, $1 bills, and anti-North Korea leaflets. The leaflets display messages of support for North Korean people. The group plans to continue leafleting until North Korea apologizes for the 'trash balloons' incident.
