On June 9, balloons suspected to be from North Korea were found near Incheon, South Korea, carrying plastic bags filled with various garbage. A South Korean group of defectors, the 'Free North Korea Movement Union,' floated 20 large balloons towards North Korea on the evening of June 20, containing leaflets, USB drives, and one US dollar bill. Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, criticized these groups as 'trash' and vowed to 'return all.' North Korea has sent balloons to South Korea filled with trash and excrement, leading to tensions between the two countries.
