North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gifted Russian President Vladimir Putin with a pair of Pungsan dogs, a local breed from North Korea, as reported by state media KCNA. The two leaders were also seen bonding over animals, with Kim feeding carrots to a horse and Putin patting its head, as well as taking turns driving each other in a Russian-built Aurus limousine. Pungsans are a breed of hunting dogs native to northern North Korea, and this exchange reflects a history of animal diplomacy between North and South Korea.
