In response to the recent drop in egg prices, some stores have implemented discounts by adding eggs to their dishes. Although raw material costs like paper boxes and salad oil have been increasing, causing overall costs to remain stable even with lower egg prices, these stores have chosen to lower prices by adding eggs. This comes after a period of egg shortages leading to price hikes in previous years, with the current oversupply causing prices to drop. Popular eateries like '阿英海產粥' and '羽都麵屋' in Taipei and Keelung have joined the trend by offering discounted dishes with added eggs as a gesture of goodwill towards customers.
