November Trailer Orders Increase But Fall Short of Expectations

Reported 1 day ago

In November, trailer orders saw a 23% increase to 20,800 units compared to October yet remained below seasonal expectations, as spending on Class 8 tractors took precedence. Year-to-date orders stood at 139,100 units, down 34% from 2023's figures. The order backlog also expanded by nearly 11%. Despite a rise in booking activity, macroeconomic challenges persist, impacting demand and pricing in the freight market. Analysts indicate that tariffs on parts may further influence costs and market dynamics.
