The U.S. Justice Department has escalated its investigation into Nvidia by issuing subpoenas to the chipmaker and other firms, probing potential antitrust violations related to Nvidia's dominance in AI processor supply. The DOJ is particularly concerned that Nvidia may hinder competition by making it difficult for customers to switch to other suppliers and penalizing those who do not exclusively utilize its AI chips. Despite recent financial troubles, Nvidia's stock has significantly grown this year, largely due to booming sales.
