The city of Oakland has agreed to sell its stake in the A's stadium as the Major League Baseball team prepares to leave for Las Vegas after playing their final season in Oakland. The sale of the 155-acre complex, where the team has played since 1968, is set at a minimum of $105 million to the African American Sports & Entertainment Group. The city plans to use the proceeds to offset a budget deficit and prevent layoffs, while the A's will temporarily play in West Sacramento until their new ballpark in Las Vegas is ready in 2028.
