In response to the Executive Yuan's reconsideration of the parliamentary reform bill, which will be debated and voted on in the legislature this week, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has launched the 'Defend Democracy, Anti-Power Expansion' nationwide campaign starting from two days ago. However, from the younger crowd outside the Legislative Yuan in Hualien to the recent gatherings in Tainan and New Taipei, it is evident that the age group participating in the Bluebird Movement has shifted towards middle-aged individuals, indicating a cooling crisis. The situation raises doubts about whether the DPP can replicate the enthusiasm seen in the past with activities like the 'Four Nos' referendum, as the focus on parliamentary expansion and the Bluebird Movement appears to be waning.
