Oil Prices Stabilize as Focus Shifts to Israel-Hezbollah Ceasefire and OPEC+ Policies

Reported about 6 hours ago

Oil prices remained steady amid ongoing assessments of the impact from a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, set to take effect following U.S. and French mediation. Brent crude futures rose slightly to $72.86 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $68.80. Both prices saw a decline on Tuesday, as speculations about adherence to the ceasefire increased. Simultaneously, OPEC+ is contemplating delaying an oil output hike scheduled for January due to weakening global demand and rising production elsewhere, with a crucial policy meeting set for December 1.
