Reported 10 months ago

Oil prices held onto their gains with Brent trading above $84 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate near $80, as risk-on sentiment in wider markets outweighed mixed outlooks for crude. The optimism in equity markets helped support oil as OPEC+ extended supply cuts, with any future decisions dependent on market conditions. Despite signs of softening demand in Asia, analysts predict Brent oil futures to average $80 to $85 a barrel in the second half of the year.
