Oil prices increased sharply after Iran launched over 100 rockets at Israel, raising fears of supply disruptions in a region critical to global oil production. West Texas Intermediate crude jumped nearly 5.5% before settling around $70 a barrel. While many missiles were intercepted and no casualties reported, analysts believe further price rises could occur if the conflict escalates without any cease-fires, although current supply remains unaffected.
