In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a Taiwanese oil tanker carrying CPC oil products collided with a breakwater at the port on June 8, resulting in a large hole in the starboard side. The incident occurred when the tanker was leaving the port and trying to avoid another vessel. Fortunately, there were no injuries or oil spills reported, but investigations are ongoing. The damaged tanker was promptly towed to a repair dock for inspection and repair before it can resume operations.
