Ondo Finance has requested the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to delay Nasdaq's proposed rule change permitting tokenized securities trading, citing concerns over transparency and fair market access. In a recent letter, Ondo highlighted the lack of concrete details on how the Depository Trust Company (DTC) would handle post-trade settlement for tokenized assets, suggesting that insufficient information could lead to an unfair advantage for larger firms while leaving smaller entities in the dark. They are willing to support Nasdaq's plan if the DTC process is made public, but are urging a formal review by the SEC for now.
