OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank revealed plans for five new artificial intelligence data centers in the U.S. as part of the ambitious $500 billion Stargate project, initiated by President Trump to bolster AI infrastructure. The centers, located in Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, and an undisclosed Midwest site, aim to achieve a total capacity of 10 gigawatts. This initiative is expected to create 25,000 jobs and follows Nvidia's commitment of up to $100 billion to OpenAI.
