OpenAI is reorganizing its Model Behavior team, which consists of about 14 researchers influential in shaping AI interactions. This team will now merge with the Post Training team, emphasizing the importance of AI personality in technology evolution. The founding leader, Joanne Jang, is departing to initiate OAI Labs, aimed at creating new collaborative interfaces for AI. The changes come amidst growing scrutiny over AI behaviors, particularly following concerns over bot responses related to sensitive issues, such as user mental health.
