The Kuomintang legislative caucus plans to review the draft amendment of the 'Nuclear Reactor Facility Control Act' in the Education and Culture Committee, aiming to loosen regulations on nuclear power plant license renewals. Minister of Economic Affairs, Kuo Min-Huei, stated that if the amendment is passed, it will be enforced according to the law. However, former DPP legislator Tsai Chi-fang pointed out that the DPP's anti-nuclear stance is not a 'Trump card,' but rather reflects the mainstream public opinion on nuclear energy policy in Taiwan over the past decades, emphasizing that it is not about the party platform, but about responding to societal views.
