Optasia, an AI fintech company co-owned by Ethos Capital, has announced its intention to list on South Africa's Johannesburg Stock Exchange aiming to raise up to 6.3 billion rand ($375 million) through a combination of new and existing shares. The company, which offers financial services in 38 countries, plans to generate approximately 1.3 billion rand from its initial public offering and conduct a private placement for existing shareholders. With around 121 million active users, Optasia primarily serves underserved markets by providing micro-financing and mobile airtime credit.
