Oracle Corp. has cautioned investors about the financial implications of a potential TikTok ban in the US following a new law signed by President Joe Biden, which would restrict internet hosting services for TikTok unless certain measures are taken by its Chinese owners. Oracle, a major cloud infrastructure provider for TikTok, stands to lose a significant portion of revenue should the ban proceed, with estimates suggesting its annual revenue from the app ranges from $480 million to $800 million. The law gives TikTok 270 days to find a buyer or face a US ban, with the possibility of an extension, amid concerns over data security due to its Chinese ownership.
