On July 3, 2024, at 9:35 PM, Central Daily News reported that Ryusuke Hamaguchi's film 'On the Car' received acclaim and will be shown alongside two other popular films, 'Asakusa Station' and 'Evil Doesn't Exist,' at the 'Zhongshan 73 Cinema and Arts Space' in Taichung City. These films will be part of two featured themes: 'The Storyteller' and 'Where's My Home?'. 'The Storyteller' section will showcase 'Asakusa Station,' which won the Silver Bear Jury Grand Prize at the Berlinale, while 'Evil Doesn't Exist' won the Jury Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival. 'On the Car' won the Oscar for Best International Film and is based on a short story by Haruki Murakami.
