In an incident at Otsu Falls in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan, three individuals were involved in a canyoning activity when one of them got stuck mid-air due to a short rope at around 2:04 p.m. Authorities were alerted, and 7 fire department vehicles with 13 personnel were dispatched for rescue. Fortunately, when rescuers arrived, the stranded individual had extended the rope provided by on-site civilians to safely descend to the ground, resulting in no injuries. Canyoning equipment includes ropes, helmets, wetsuits, specialized shoes, backpacks, and rope bags. Otsu Falls, with a height of approximately 20 meters, is a popular canyoning spot in southern Taiwan due to its convenient access.
